If you wander through the charming alleyways of Sololaki, you will come across this eye-catching establishment on Shalva Dadiani Street, with an interesting division of indoor and outdoor space. The Rude Boy Bar is based on an open concept, the modular windows are folded to the side, creating tables that can be occupied from both inside and outside. This appeals to smokers and non-smokers alike, so that everyone can indulge their preferences. The bar and brewery is based on an interesting concept of Italian cuisine, amazing cocktails, craft beer and a large selection of pinza (pizza). In the following paragraphs, I describe my own experiences with the location and justify why it serves the only true and best margarita in Tbilisi.

Punk Avantgarde meets Modernity β a really hip Bar!
Whether you look at the place from the outside or venture into the bar, you immediately understand from the fable for art that you will be served excellent cocktails worthy of the ambience with good flavour. The perfectly staged minimalism exudes anarchy, rebellion and aesthetic punk without being obtrusive and manages to look damn good in the process. In this important location for Nightlife in Tbilisi, you can expect a chilled atmosphere with friendly characters that invites you to linger, reflect and enjoy. The spectacle is rounded off by extremely well-trained bartenders who are masters of their craft.
Some of the best Cocktails in Tbilisi - no exaggeration!
This is where it gets personal and serious – as you know, I collect coffee shops, restaurants and especially bars. In more than 20 years, I have visited several thousand establishments around the world, including many of the best cocktail bars in Cuba. If you can measure a bar by one drink, then it is of course the margarita! A perfect margarita is not only precision work, but also personal dedication with a touch of magic. You can mix the best ingredients for the best margarita in Tbilisi or anywhere else, but it still comes down to flair and timing to complete the work and unleash a symphony of flavor.
Without exaggeration, I have been disappointed hundreds of times when I have dared to order margaritas in bars, many of them I have simply thrown away, once I simply smashed the glass against the wall during an argument with the bartender… All the greater was the surprise when I experienced a mental and sensual orgasm the first time I tried the margarita in the Rude Boy Bar in Tbilisi! The Margarita here ranks alongside those at SiΓ‘ KarΓ‘ CafΓ© in Havana, Cuba and the Bamboo Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Bangkok (but no longer available) and impresses with an enduring quality without the slightest change – and has done so for 2 years now! If you love margaritas, this is the place to be!
More great Cocktails at Top Prices
Of course, the other classics in this best cocktail bar in Tbilisi are not to be neglected either. Even if you only treat yourself to a “simple gin and tonic” on the Rude Boy Bar Menu or a Negroni, you will be pleasantly surprised by the high quality here. In contrast to many other bars in Tbilisi, they are not stingy with the spirits here, for example with the Mango Tango or the brilliant Long Island Ice Tea, you should throw away your car keys to be on the safe side and exercise caution!

It's also a Brewery! In-house Craft Beer in Tbilisi
Should you really drink beer in one of the best cocktail bars in Tbilisi? The answer is yes and no π΅βπ«. The selection of craft beer harmonizes with the cocktails and you can let the evening fade away peacefully without experiencing a severe hangover the next morning. I recommend all beers that still come close to the German Purity Law without hesitation. So when it comes to the “Nato Tomato” (cool name, strange taste), this perversion only works with tasteless individuals of Gen Z (fluff you, as a Millennial I still have taste!)…
Awesome Food β Best Pizza in Tbilisi and WTF is their Pinza?
As if the cocktails weren’t already good enough, the food and snacks here manage the balancing act – and go head-to-head with Italian cuisine. If there’s one thing I really fear in Tbilisi, it’s pizza. Despite the high art of making a good dough for khachapuri, pizza is unfortunately a culinary nightmare, at the latest when it comes to the toppings. I was all the more surprised by “pinza”, a type of pizza that I had to google for the first time.
“Pinza has a lighter and crispier dough than pizza, as it is made from a mixture of wheat, soy and rice flour and takes longer to rise. Pinza is also usually oval rather than round and is often topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients.”
Β
Ok, so now we know what Pinza is, but does it taste good? The answer is a resounding yes – as long as you’re not expecting a simple pizza. The Pinza is ideal for the great cocktails and also tastes great with the in-house craft beer. The great quality of the ingredients is worth mentioning!

If you hate Italy or simply want to try something completely different, you will find some great alternatives here. By the way, my insider tip for curious gourmets is the chicken pate with cherry and orange marmalade. French fries, chicken wings, garlic bread and the peach and straciatella salad round off the menu.
The Service at the Rude Boy Bar
It’s getting to be too much to praise, but it has to be said. We all love the charm and slow pace of Tbilisi when it comes to food service, but sometimes waiters and bartenders can drive you crazy. At Rude Boy Bar Tbilisi, however, the opposite is true. Over the years, a truly professional, multilingual crew with good English has been bred here, who take their job seriously. Walk in, order and everything is delivered correctly to your table. The non rude boys exude positive energy and remain professional, even when the bar is bursting at the seams. If you’re as chaotic as me, never have cash with you and pay for everything by card, remember to withdraw money beforehand to leave the boys a tip – they really deserve it!
Rude Boy Bar in Tbilisi β our honest Conclusion
Foremost, I am neither related to the owners of the bar by blood or marriage, nor do I have any intimate contacts – I have to point this out, as so much praise can come across as suspicious! The owners and crew of the often underrated Rude Boy Bar have 100% earned every line in this review. I advise everyone to find out for themselves just how brilliant the margaritas are, it should convince anyone with a taste. But yes, I do have one final point of criticism – with the brilliant cocktails, you should consider introducing a jazz evening at least on a Sunday instead of purely electronic music!
So go on, enough reading – try out the brilliant Rude Boy Bar after work or at the weekend, Rude Girls are also welcome, you won’t regret it!
