As the name of our magazine suggests, we see rock not just as music but as a philosophy. So there is no question that we list all the important and best rock bars in Tbilisi for locals and foreigners. We personally went on a search to find the best places for Rock with and without live music in Tbilisi for you. When it comes to rock, our favourite city really has a lot to offer, but it’s hard to keep up with the electronic music scene.
Best Rockbar Tbilisi @ Marjanishvilli Neighbourhood

Nomads Bar – the mother of brialliant Dive Dars
Here you will find the mother of all dive bars in Tbilisi! Expats and locals meet here to dance the night away to homemade Chacha infusions and a full load of rock. The bartenders M&M (Mari and Mariam) DJ and create an unforgettable atmosphere. On Friday and Saturday, you can find live music here – locals and foreigners are performing different kind of sounds in Georgia.
House Of Camora @ Fabrika
Granted, Fabrika is a hipster hotspot, but hey, hipsters like RockNRoll too! House of Camora is a haven for rock lovers in the midst of the Fabrika hustle and bustle with all the weird digital nomads. There’s often live music here, but the good selection of drinks is served in hideous plastic cups. If the music gets too loud, you can visit the outdoor seating area and enjoy the live music from outside.
#8 BBQ House
No, we haven’t run out of ideas, in the #8 BBQ House in a historic building on Davit Aghmashenebeli Ave, a huge location is brewing in this restaurant for jazz and rock. The two-storey venue now not only offers excellent BBQ (chicken, beef, lamb), natural wines, craft beer and Georgian salad, but has also become one of the best places for Tbilisi Live Music. Many Georgian musicians come together here, bands such as the Natural Born Lovers, Oto Nemsadze and the Limbo group and The Skittles perform here regularly.

Nalis Pub – famous for amazing Musicians
Here you find a cosy pub with a solid selection of rock music. Nalis Pub is a good place to have a beer, meet up with friends and listen to the sounds of rock legends. Especially on Sunday night you might be lucky and can enjoy the performances of outstanding Georgian bands. In addition to local and international beers and craft beers, you can sweeten your evening with natural wines and admire the live music. There is also a good selection of food.
Freddy_Bar – a fantastic Insider Tip
This small but cool venue is run by an Iranian who has a good taste for stylish furnishings and great live acts. Various groups also gather here during the week for jam sessions. Locals and foreigners alike enjoy great acts in the Freddy_Bar.
Canudos Ethnic Bar – Always a good Experience
Canudos looks back on a long history and is not just a rock bar in Tbilisi, but also one of the best places for cultural exchange. People from all over the world meet here to party to an eclectic mix of music. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed. This venue has a beautifully designed indoor area with many Buddha statues and a spacious outdoor seating area. By the way, it’s not just any French fries that are served here, but the best Mexican potatoes in Tbilisi and Georgia.
Chabas Jazz Rock Cafe – a house with long History
If you love jazz and rock in equal measure, Chabas is the place for you. There are regular live performances by local and international musicians who present a unique blend of jazz and rock. Mostly this place will get rocked on Friday and Saturday with amazing Live Music.
The best Rockbar Tbilisi Experience in Sololaki Neighbourhood
Worlds End Bar
This bar is a must for every rock fan in Tbilisi. Not only does it offer an impressive selection of cocktails and natural wines, but also regular live music concerts. Friday nights are particularly recommended, when Nino Datunashvily, Georgia’s wildest rock chick, rocks the stage. There is an extensive menu with infused chachas, cocktails and beer in all price ranges, and French fries, hot dogs, chicken and other snacks to satisfy your hunger with tasty food in between.
The Venue – Live Music
As the name suggests, The Venue is a place for live music experience. Local and international bands regularly perform at the Venue, covering a wide range of genres, mostly Rock. There are regular karaoke events here. The modern bar has excellent shots, cocktails and of course various beers.
Bunker Bar
Bunker Bar is an underground club known for its dark atmosphere and heavy music. If you’re looking for an intense rock experience, this is the place for you. The music here is usually heavier, with musicians performing death metal and real heavy metal.
Best Rockbar Tbilisi Action in the Samgori Neighbourhood
The Junkyard
This is by far one of the best places for the ultimate underground atmosphere! The Junkyard is a raw and unpolished place that makes every rocker’s heart beat faster. Here you’ll find live music, cheap drinks and an atmosphere that will transport you to another world.
Rock Bars at the Lake with outdoor Seating
Unfortunately, the overpriced Hardrock Cafe Tbilisi at Lisi Lake threw in the towel years ago. Nobody was interested in the exorbitant prices here, adios amigos!
Lisi Wonderland
This lakeside venue features multiple bars and restaurants. Some of them have a nice outdoor seating and occasionally host live music events with plenty of musicians. It’s worth checking their schedule to see if anything rock-related is happening during your visit.
