Opposite the Marjanisvhilli metro station is one of the hippest and trendiest steak/coffee houses in Tbilisi: MyChef. Time stands still in this cozy high-end location with its modern garden and you can really enjoy life. As a long-time regular, it is a great pleasure for me to recommend this Turkish brasserie.

One of the best Cafes / Restaurants in Marjanishvili
If you just want to unwind and enjoy the day with excellent coffee or tea, this is the place for you. MyChef offers high-end gastronomy with an accompanying portion of charm. Centrally located on Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue, it goes without saying that an Arabic vibe prevails here. The restaurant attracts people from all over the world and has become an insider tip in Tbilisi. Mostly expats and guests from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the Middle East can be found here.
The Culinary Selection at MyChef in Tbilisi
The Turkish cuisine here is of a high standard, but consists of a small and selective choice. The restaurant is primarily a steak house. A Dallas steak here costs 85 GEL and is worth every cent / tetri. If you want to treat yourself to a Chateaubriand Steak together, you will have to shell out 215 GEL, but you will get an extremely high-quality meal. Don’t be put off by the high prices, MyChef offers great cuisine even for small budgets. The high-quality, fresh Lahmacun costs just 12 GEL and is served with a huge portion of lettuce, tomatoes, onions and lemon to garnish yourself.
One of my personal favorites, however, is the unusual chicken curry. Inspired by Thai cuisine, the curry is served with pasta and a portion of salad, but this comes at a price. 40 GEL is not cheap, but I can easily share the large portion. At MyChef Tbilisi, great importance is attached to the presentation of the dishes, which will please any Instagram fanatic.
Other highlights at My Chef include pide, pizzas and burgers. In general, you can’t go wrong with the choice of food, regardless of your budget – even the soups on offer are reasonably priced and really excellently prepared.
My professional Opinion: Best Capuccino in Tbilisi
A coffee at the Steak House? Really? Yes, the fusion works, it’s impossible to determine whether MyChef is more of a coffee house or a steak house. Now it’s getting personal – My Chef has the best cappuccino in town and there’s no debate about that! I am a coffeeholic and have visited more than 5,000 cafes around the world, including Italy, of course. I “collect” coffee houses as a hobby. The blend of beans, the coffee machine, the temperature and the presentation are simply perfect. The 10 GEL for a cappuccino are justified! MyChef has excellently trained baristas who take their craft seriously and really understand it.
All of my international guests have to be dragged into MyChef and I forbid them to use sugar. Everyone is always pleasantly surprised at how first-class the cappuccino is. Especially in summer, the cappuccino in MyChef harmonizes perfectly with a bottle of the “heavy mineral water” Nabeghlavi.
Beyond the sacred cappuccino, the other coffee varieties as well as iced coffee and of course the Turkish tea are also excellent. I’m not so enthusiastic about the selection of alcoholic drinks, which are only of a standard level, but that’s okay.
The Ambience of MyChef
Beyond the fluffing awesome cappuccino, the location impresses with its great flair and harmonious decor. Classic meets modern here, and the furnishings are generally of an excellent, internationally high standard. The interior is perfectly air-conditioned all year round. My favorite at any time, however, is the fantastic guest garden with a great view of the heart of Marjanishvili. I highly recommend that readers stop by here on a clear day during the blue hour. The interplay of light and shadow on the facades of the historic buildings opposite is spectacular until sunset. Conveniently, the guest garden is water-cooled in summer and heated in winter – of course you can also smoke here.
The Price-Performance Ratio and our honest Conclusion
There is no question that MyChef in Marjanishvili has its price. Nevertheless, we approve of the fact that some selected drinks and food are also available at reasonable prices. Even if you just want to enjoy a coffee or tea, you are welcome here. However, if you really want to find out what this location has to offer, you will have to dig deeper into your pockets.
The high quality comes at a price, but is worth every penny. In conclusion, MyChef stands out from the crowd of competitors and has truly earned its good reputation. So go on, what are you waiting for – finally go for a cappuccino and experience timeless moments in this hip restaurant, you won’t regret it!!
